Patricia DeMers, President
Pat has extensive experience in Executive Coaching, Training Design and Facilitation, Human Resources Management, Performance Management and more. She possesses over twenty years of experience in Training & Development and Human Resources, and has recently received a masters Certificate in Business Leadership. Pat has been nominated for 4 consecutive years for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by RBC, and is the past President of the Peel/Halton Chapter of the Canadian Society of Training and Development.
Shelley Kralik-Vella, Senior Vice President
Overseeing the management of ETL in Pat’s absence, Shelley ensures that our clients consistently receive superior products and results. Shelley has over 20 years of human resources management experience in the areas of Recruitment, Employee Relations, Pension & Benefits, Training and more.
Kim Sherwin, Senior Facilitator
Over the past ten years Kim has perfected her facilitation skills and has become a specialist in programs such as: Project Management, Time and Stress Management, Business Writing and Effective Supervision. Kim is frequently contracted by our clients as a personal coach, helping them to improve their communication skills and overcome leadership challenges.
Heather MacNeil, Senior Facilitator
Heather is a results-driven Human Resource professional with over 30 years of corporate experience. Heather is a passionate leader of change and an effective communicator and facilitator. In addition to building and maintaining strong relationships, she has broad coaching and leadership experience both, corporately, as well as not-for-profit and community organizations. Heather’s role is to facilitate a wide range of customized programs including: 5 Star Customer Service, Handling Challenging Customers, Effective Communication, Change Management, Leadership, Coaching and Effective Feedback.
Linda Sherwin, Senior Facilitator
Linda brings to the Excel Thru Learning team, a passion and enthusiasm for excellence and learning through communication and leadership. Her dynamic presentation style leverages the strengths of diverse learners which in turn, helps to improve performance and productivity in an organization. Drawing upon years of experience, Linda offers clients her expertise in a variety of topics including: Leadership Development, Project Management, Relationship Building, Problem Solving and more.
Dave Dawe, Senior Facilitator
Dave's inviting and interactive facilitation style draws people into the learning and builds enthusiasm for the programs he delivers. With over 15 years of experience conducting learning programs for large organizations and his Masters degree in adult learning and developing, Dave is comfortable working with people at all levels of an organization. Dave’s area of expertise includes topics such as: Team Building, Customer Service, Relationship Building, Collaboration, as well as Leadership Development. Dave is committed to making workplace learning relevant, memorable, and inspiring.
Lucie Bouchard, Senior Facilitator
Lucie is a well-known consultant in the field of adult education and organizational development, with more than 20 years of experience training and coaching managers at every level. She has worked with many major corporations in the retail, telecom, insurance, banking and engineering industries, as well as educational institutions. As a fully bilingual facilitator, Lucie can expertly and confidently deliver training content in both English and French.
Evan Badura, Director, Business Development
As a Business Development Director, Evan’s role is developing new business at Excel Thru Learning. His past experience with a world-wide corporation gives him great insight into the challenges large organizations face with hiring, retaining and motivating employees. Evan is currently working on his CHRP designation to further enhance his knowledge of training and development and human resources management.
James Wills, Business Development
James' primary role is to expand ETL's client base within south western Ontario and northern USA. Coming from a background in education with a Masters degree in Sociology, James brings with him a strong desire to promote success and enhance learning opportunities for all contacts. James' life experience translates into excellent customer service and people focus. He currently operates out of our satellite office in Sarnia, Ontario.
Design and Administration
Laurie Nava, Program Design Manager
As one of the longest standing team members at ETL, Laurie manages the design and administration team. She is a people manager who’s compassion and interest in others contributes to her team’s success. As lead designer, Laurie believes in building strong client relationships and does this by ensuring that program content is always relevant, up to date, and customized to mirror the clients culture and specific audience requirements. She also manages the design of all marketing materials, web site content, trade shows and other events.
Maggie Cruz, Sales Assistant
Maggie primarily assists the sales team to help drive and execute their initiatives and business development plans. As the presidents EA, Maggie’s strong attention to detail enables her to keep everyone organized and on top of ongoing tasks and scheduling. She is a well-seasoned professional in the areas of Administration, Sales, and Marketing through her work with large international organizations and mid-sized companies. Maggie possesses a passion for communication, quality and customer service excellence.
Samantha Hopkins, Training Coordinator
Samantha is our newest member of the ETL team. She is creative, resourceful and quick to grasp new ideas and concepts. Sam primarily assists with program development and coordinating training so that our facilitators have everything they need and know exactly where they need to be. Her past experience in administration has given her the skills to organize, prioritize and provide excellent customer service with everything she does. Sam is a welcomed addition to the ETL team.
